Measurement Book

Measure it, approve it, then bill it.

Set up the bill of quantities, record what was actually measured on site, approve it, and then generate the running-account (RA) bill from the approved measurements, with every quantity billed exactly once.

Get started
  • Draft → Submitted → Approved before anything is billed
  • One action turns approved measurements into an RA invoice
  • Billed quantity is tracked, so nothing is billed twice

Measure to bill

The standard RA-bill chain, in one system.

  1. 1

    Set up the BOQ

Add BOQ items per project with a description, unit, estimated quantity, rate and cost code.

  2. 2

    Measure on site

Record the measured quantity against each item, with the date, the site and who measured it.

  3. 3

    Submit and approve

Only approved measurements can go into a bill.

  4. 4

    Generate the RA invoice

One action gathers every approved, unbilled measurement into a single progress invoice at the BOQ rates.

Billing without double-counting

Each quantity is billed once.

Billed quantity tracked

Every measurement keeps a running billed quantity, so only the unbilled remainder goes into the next bill.

RA bills numbered per project

Each project's RA bills are numbered in sequence, and billed-to-date carries forward from the previous bill.

Retention and advances

Set a retention percentage and adjust advances on each bill; the net payable is worked out for you.

Traceable lines

Each invoice line links back to its BOQ item and the measurement it came from.
